Maybe this One ??

As some of you know I've been hunting for Burb for a while now. Doing my daily surf this morning I found this one on Ebay. Although its not exactly what I want ( overhead A/C, GMC ) there is something very appealing to me about it so I've emailed the seller for his phone number. Maybe there is a road trip coming up.

That is actually a factory setup. You could also get the in -dash system ( which I'd prefer) and do not know why both were offered.

Re: Maybe this One ??

i've always understood the overhead was 67 - 71, and the in dash oe in dash and rear A/C was 72 only.
Either way, there's not much to not like about that burb. What's his price, do you know?

I thought the same as you do about the in dash A/C being only available in 1972 until a 69 Burb I was dealing on had A/C on the spid and it was in the dash, but not in the rear.. maybe if you ordered front and rear A/C before 1972 you got the overhead unit and for 1972 you got dash up front and the rear unit at the back.

I called and talked to the guy and he asking 10k, which I think is high. It needs 4 rockers, a tailgate, the A/C doesnt work and he says he has posi but its not on the spid and he hasn't changed the rear end. Do you think with original rear end it would have 3:08's ?

That is definately a nice burb. I like the light olive green. I guess you weren't able to make a deal on the orange one in New Mexico? I really thought you would end up getting that one.

Re: Maybe this One ??

it would have 3.07 gears if original. Big block trucks automaticly got the 3.07 gear in 1/2 ton trucks if opted with an automatic or 4 speed. The handfull of 3 speeds may have gotten the same gear, but I can't remember.
