Do they make one to fit my '72 dash without chopping it up?

The only way to do it without cutting is to either put it under the dash in a custom housing, or get a knob type radio that has controls for a CD changer.

If it was me, I would just cut it! But I like the way a modern stereo looks in my dash. Some people don't like it. To each their own I guess. SOmeone on the board has an underdash mounted CD player. I guess you could also build a custom center console and put it in there.

I have mine mounted in a console.I have a stock am radio in the dash.The top is off my blazer 95%of the time.The console locks and keeps it out of the rain.If you cut the dash it takes some work if you want to go back to stock.Besides I feel most wouldbe thieves aint looking for an am radio.

don't know if you can still get them or not but there used to be a mini disk player that would fit in the factory hols of these trucks and cars for that matter. hard to find the disks now i expect though. you could try a mp3 player, doen't know if they make that either though. couple ideas anyway.

i am putting a radio a bought from chevy duty in the dash so no to cut it and i am mounting the cd changer in the glovebox as soon as i get a metal base for it

The latest JC Whitney catalog has a replica 67-72 OEM-looking AM radio w/ a CD changer for sale, but it's pricey, $500 I think. May also be on their website.

Most truck part vendors can get the USA or Kenwood model that is a replica of our old radios but they are digital and you can get the ones that control a disc changer. The whole setup would cost about 500.00 though.

Ever thought of putting a tape player with a fm radio and get one of those cd changers that are RF modulated, thats what I did in my Monte so I could still have a good stereo without cutting up anything

A CD is bigger than the radio hole in the dash, so it is impossible for a regular CD player to fit in the factory opening. I was thinking about this the other day though, and I'm pretty sure that one would fit in the hole that the heater control is in. I'm wondering how hard it would be to find a heater control that would fit in the radio hole?

Sorry I have no info on it......I got the idea off a truck for sale on EBAY last month......added the pic to my file of "to do" things to the truck. Wish I could've been of more help. Certainly gave me ideas though.
