And the Gibson Les Paul Standard is next on the casualty list as much as I hate to see her go.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!

The Blue Agile Les Paul I sold to pay for Repairs on my 72.
I bought it, strummed it once and sold it, 3 weeks later.

My current Axe is an Epiphone Les Paul Custom in Orange Quilt,
(and I'm keeping THAT baby!

Nice! Hey wwotr, I have a gibson 57 classic plus pickup(new still in box) that would slide right into that Epi and they sound great. If you're interested let me know.

Thanks anyway.
I'll keep what I've got in it.
It's been upgraded with Genuine Gibson (490'R-Neck/498T-Bridge).
Same Pick-ups as a Gibson Les Paul Custom or Standard.

Absolutley love the Tone and Action.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!

My son wrecked my Silverado. Insurance company bought it and sent me a check. Headed to the Chevy dealer where I bought my last three vehicles and well.....I didn't make it.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!

Did a few side jobs for the cash to buy the Blue 68, sold it to buy the Red 68 (Lucy) sold it to buy the White 62 (Large Marge), sold it to buy the Tan 61 Cutlass, sold that to get the 62 Buick wagon, sold it to buy the 64 Rambler and the Gold 68, sold the Gold 68 and bought the 79 Blazer, sold it for the 71 Step side (Stella Mae). Bought the orange 68, sold it and the Rambler to finish my 67 (Hazel). There were a five or so more in there but the pictures are on another computer.

Blood, Sweat, Tears and Money, and one wife. We were well on our way to divorce court anyway, the truck just sped up the whole process.

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!

I sold a '92 Sonoma GT that I restored to get some funds, and invested it in a mutual fund in gold.

Then I sold that late in '09 (if I'd waited until now I would have had 5 trucks ) - drove my truck, had to have it!

Re: What did you sale to fund a 67-72 project!!!

So far I still have the 70 I bought with saved up cash. Bought a 69 to drive while I fixed the 70. Bad deal, so I sold it off in pieces to fund more on the 70. I have wheeled and deal toms of parts, but haven't really sold any truck yet to fund another.

Who knows what may happen down the road now that I have another truck to play with too.

Re: What did you sell to fund a 67-72 project!!!

Didn't really sell anything to buy the latest project.

But, I'm guessing some of these will go to help ease the "pain" of paying for the '72 (I know, it looks like a '68)!
