Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

72 Jimmy value
Hi all, this is truck I'm interested in but not sure of its value. It was originally from North Carolina, has a 454 crate engine in it which the current owner does not know how many miles are on it. Has heavy-duty axles 8 lug wheels on there. Obviously lifted and fenders cut. Needs work but has a lot of parts I mean a lot. The attachments to follow are most of the pictures.

I'd buy the parts before I'd buy the truck...

What do you think the parts are worth?

Really, that's it? I'd think the hatch is worth 200, has to be repaired.

Re: Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

Does it run? is it a Dana 60 or Dana 44 front axle?

What "mods" have the POs made? Any frame cutting or otherwise redneck "custom" crap? Rust??

I'd put the whole thing at 1500-5000 depending on these answers, W/ the parts.

Awesome, hopefully others can chime in with what additional questions need to be answered. Yes it runs, was moved in yard one week ago, no problem.

Looks pretty well used and abused, as do the parts. $2500-3000 for everything if there is a title.

Re: Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

He was asking $4900. Down to $3500, or $500 for just the parts. I'm probably going to pass, I was interested in roll bar but he won't separate it from truck.

Re: Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

Is it still in NC?

Hard to see the ins and outs in pictures. It looks rough but I have seen worse sell for more.

If the price is falling that fast and you are thinking of passing anyway, I would wait. When it gets to rock bottom it may then be worth it.

Lots of times it takes two to make one...this might be the one to get to two.

Flip the steering wheel. The pic does not look that bad from the back side.

I'd be interested.

It's not in NC. Pretty rough shape, but if you like the way it looks you might not change much. I prefer the ones closer to stock.

Re: Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

I think $500 for the parts looks like a good deal.

(2) bumper sets
(2) grills
(2) consoles
Woodgrain trim
Black seat belts
At least 3 bezels
Misc trim

Try and get the single wall top

Re: Redo 72 Jimmy value loads of parts

Trying again, sometimes my response doesn't upload.

Also in the parts, Bestop with hardware like new, ac compressor remanufactured never installed, visors, seat belts including an aqua set, passenger side seat bracket hardware, etc. Well worth the drive.
