Here is my project truck and daily driver:

I bought it stock a few years ago and slowly transformed it into this beast. 5.3, 4L60E, 3.42 gears. I need to swap 3.73 gears under it, I have a parts truck that I can steel them from.

I use this truck as my work truck in the oil and gas industry, it needs to be capable both on and off road, and comfortable inside as well.. It is fully loaded, leather, sun roof, pretty darn nice truck compared to my early GM trucks.

With 6.5" BDS lift and 35" tall 12" wide BFG AT:

After towing some trailers and hauling heavy loads I found the rear lift springs were sagging a bit so I added some lift blocks to get it back up sitting right.

I am looking to build something very similar, but 2wd. I just found a free CC cab with sunroof that i might swap out with mine. my cab has some damage but i would really like a sun roof i think.

Nice looking truck looks perfect with the lift and tire stance. I like how it was all done it is setup to be used as a work truck but not so crazy that it can't be a dd or driven on the road. Keep on enjoying cruising it and getting a little dirt on it

Looks good dude! I think you could spice the grill up a bit with a new center-section. I have the same one on my Yukon, and I feel like removing those horizontal bars and replacing it with something (maybe something cool off the waterjet?) changes is huuugely.

Gotta love a lifted Chev, with a musclecar on the trailer.

Your lift kit came with a lift block for the rear. Rear you add a second one on top of that, or did you replace it with a taller single block?

I like it. Great job. I may be stepping into a K1500 GMC long bed for my next work truck. Always been an 8-lug guy but when a deal comes along, and you need a good deal, you have to take the opportunity. The GVWs are plenty high on these 1/2t pickups anyway. This is a friend's dad's truck he is selling...red reg. cab 5.3 89k no rust for $3k. He added a Lind visor (oh well, maybe tend to that later), tube bed rails (they'll go), and dual baloney slices under the bumper. It has all new fuel and brake lines by GM dealer.

I want to lift it, wheels, tires, and probably a work topper/cap/canopy/shell type thingy with ladder rack. I'm lifting less with maybe 285/75s. Your truck inspires me, though. I'm staying minimum because I want to focus on my 67 and 72, just need a dependable get down the road right now
