I had a 3/4" drop for about 1 year, and it bottomed-out allot. Overall, the roads around here are in pretty good condition too. I would take the extra step to C-notch the frame and enjoy a smooth ride. I notched mine with help from "low 84" and it was simple. If you really don't want to notch it though---I would say 4" is the max for an OKAY ride.

Special70gmc..I have a set of new dropped leafs that I have never used.... from CCP. I can make you a great deal on them. I bought them before I went with a coil spring frame and used the air ride system. pm me if you have any need for them.
Thanks
