Talking world meet granny

About two years ago I had been hunting every place for a 67 swb. Finally I found one.. she was a currently set up as a roller but had been a drag truck, stock cross member drum brakes, stripped down, tubbed and so on. Pics below. I call her granny because I have a bagged 98 s10 (orig owner) 99ext cab z71 & 01 short bed.. yea I have a Chevy truck problem

I found a 83 long bed with a decently built vette 350 & th350 as a donor truck. Put the whole cross member from the 83 discs, power steering, Motor and trans in granny my 67 c10 small window. I also put in a set of 5 lug axles from ece. (Great guys over there) and a few other small pieces to get her to run. The 83 also donated a cool set of 15" rally wheels.

So that was phase one of granny.. I knew the th350 had a short shelf life and planned an ls swap down the road and frame off.. which brings the story current. Lose .plans are a light frame off, cleaning and repairing po damage and hacks as I can, complete new bed with wood floor, leaning towards the full tci or porter built suspension lsx so on.. well see how this goes.

On to the pics... (which if yiu guys are like me... pics pics pics)

Re: world meet granny

I didn't keep the slicks around long enough that I could recall the size. I dug the tubs for a bit but decided to go a little more of an original style bed for this incarnation. Which I'm glad I did I found out how shot the bed braces were. And discovered those railroad tires the po welded in. There were two of those monsters in there, had to weigh a good 50 pds each

Re: world meet granny

Thanks! Luckily from what ive.seen so far the back portion of the truck was the roughest. So thats where I decided to start the resurrection or I mean restoration..

Getting ready to place the rear suspension order, which is either going to be the tci kit or a porterbuilt coil spring set up... lm leaning towards the porterbuilt set up since the condition of the frame I am unsure will handle the beast that tci is creating...
