SM465 PTO or ??

It's located a few hrs away. The owner claims he took it off his 1967 C60 with a SM465/small block 305. This tells me drivetrain isn't original because of the engine but want to make sure how to ID the PTO before driving about 10 hr round trip and spending X amount to get it back home. .. any help is appreciated

Re: SM465 PTO or ??

that looks like the correct PTO for a 465.

trans could be a sm420 or the 465, pretty sure they both take the same PTO

gotta ask- is there something rare about that PTO? why would you drive 10 hours for a PTO?

the 465 was so common to find with a PTO I could probably find 10 on my local c-list people are trying to give away practically.

I live in west texas. Most of the old stuff has been crushed. Junk yards are few and far between. Nothing special but gotta get it where it comes up.

Re: SM465 PTO or ??

The cast in number is DIP118 OR CIP118, hard to tell. A rivited on plate indicates Dana Corporation with 07-13.

As per the seller...
