WTB (One) 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel

WTB Chevy 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel With nubs and 5-1/2” backset.
I have a nice set of 4 but am looking for one for my spare tire.
I’d take a pair if not willing to sell a single.

Thanks Eric, wasn’t too impressed with the pickings as a far as 67-72 stuff goes, picked up a couple little things that I could have done without! But had a good time overall.

I may have a pair, but I'm not quite sure how to measure. I think they are the desired width and backset. They have 12X16.5 bias ply tires on them.

Re: WTB (One) 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel

Great! To measure lay a straightedge across the back side of the rim and measure down to the inside mounting flange (the area that touches the hub)
Let me know what you come up with!
Thanks, Nic

Re: WTB (One) 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel

A bit difficult to measure with the tires mounted. Backset appears to be only 5.0". Width looks like 9.75" inside of bead. These were purchased from Dick Cepek in 1970 or 1971 to provide better stability and wear with the camper on.

Here's a picture of one on the truck in 2010 just before the restoration.

Could you cut a small piece of wood or something flat to fit on the rim without hitting the tire so you can get an accurate measurement?

Re: WTB (One) 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel

That's what I did with the backset. It's the width that is more difficult without removing the tire, but I'm pretty confident in the width measurement also.

Thanks for checking, I’m really looking for that 5.5” back set.
Somebody has to have one.
The search continues!

Re: WTB (One) 8 bolt 16.5x9.75 Steel wheel

They are on a truck and have air in them, Not sure of how clean, surface rust but not sure if they will be pitted or not.
People at the junk yard are real jerks, unbelievable jerks actually.
Is there more than one style of wheel and can you post a pic of exactly what your looking for? I see that firstowners wheels have a bump in the deep outer hoop part, these did not have that. They are on the rear of an early square body truck.

Sorry for the upside down picture of the backset measurement, I tried loading it both ways and it won’t come through correctly. I just wanted to show you how I measured the backset.
