Adj vacuum canister ?

I have 2 of these and one has # AS-20 and the crane one has # AS-11 marking on the canister. I don,t see any physical difference. Would it mean the max pull be 11 and and the other at 20. I couldn,t find any info anywhere

Re: Adj vacuum canister ?

The "A" means its for HEI, and a "B" would mean its for a points distributor. I believe the numbers are how many degrees of advance it provides. Since SBCs only need around 10 to 15 degrees of vacuum advance, the AS-11 is probably the one you want to use. You can still use the AS-20, you just have to limit it to that 10-15 range.
