1972 swb mufflers

Hi all, wanted to see if anyone could recommend a good sounding muffler for a 1972 SWB that will have dual exhaust. Have a new exhaust and need a recommendation for a good sounding pair of mufflers.

THanks
Eddie

Re: 1972 swb mufflers

I currently have Dynomax "Hemi" Super Turbos on my shortbox with turndowns. They are the long version of the Super Turbo. I like the sound, just a tad louder than stock at idle and cruising but have a nice tone when getting on it without being to obnoxious. I have also had Hooker Aero Chambers, like the way they sound at idle and cruise but have a definite bark when getting on it.

+1 for Hooker Aero Chambers; great flow with a solid sound that's still feasible for daily driving.

I have 40 series flowmasters on both my GTOs and on my Fairlane. I will be putting them on the Blazer when I get to that point. They sound great to me. I always run full tail pipes though.

I have the DynoMax Hemi turbos on my Jimmy as mentioned above, and I have purchased another set for my 69 short step when I swap the 427 in. Good performance without a lot of racket
