Smile Ghost flames are almost done!

I stopped by the bodyshop yesterday to tweak the layout on my ghost flames and pick my colors. I'm going with Dubie's suggestion of a Silver tint in the translucent pearl with Blue pearl tips a hair darker than the truck. I can't wait. I'll post pics when I get it back and cleaned up.

Bouncytruck,
Yes they are across fenders and doors. Randy c-10, remember awhile back I contacted you about doing this for me but you were leaving for Korea or something?

Looks great!

Have you got a template you're working from, or purely freehand? I'm a long way from paint, but am planning flames as well. I've got a couple of rollout templates I created on vellum but I'm not yet sure which style of flames to go with. Have you got an original sketch, drawing, whatever, you care to share?

Thanks and keep the pics coming,

Kenneth

XXL,
I sketched up a style I wanted and the painter just freehands as he goes!. He uses blue fine line tape as a guide. I didn't want them symetrical because it costs too much and I wanted it a little random yet balanced.

Cool, that's the way I do mine too. The cool thing about flames is that they don't have to be simetrical like graphics.

Your flames are going to be sweet. I've always had a weakness for flames. Ever since a friend of mine put them on his 67 camaro back in high school. Turned a plain car into a head turner. Be sure to update us with pics.
