1969 K10 front sway bar

Has anyone out there installed a front sway bar on their K10 with a Dana 44 in the front? I have a 1978 truck and it drives much nicer with the sway bar.

Re: 1969 K10 front sway bar

I installed one on my 1971 K10. Not sure if there are any frame differences between the two years.

I went to a junk yard and took one from a square body including the frame brackets. (Hammering the rivets off was a pain . . . . ) It turns out swapping the frame brackets to opposite side and a little trimming they fit my 71!

I can take a few pictures if you would like. Doug

I would be interested in seeing the pictures of how installed it.

Re: 1969 K10 front sway bar

Youd also need the spring plates that the sway bar fastens to

Re: 1969 K10 front sway bar

If you follow this thread starting at post #277 you can see how I did mine. I use the parts from a square body, but kept my original front cross member, and modified the brackets to fit.
