AC Delco radio wiring

Switching out the AC Delco for a single DIN unit. I guess this is the POWER plug for the old radio. I assume Yellow is HOT, black is GROUND, but what is the grey?

Yes, the yellow wire is power (switched on/off via the ignition) and black is ground. The grey wire is for the dial light. It's connected to the instrument panel light circuit so it brightens/dims as you rotate the headlight switch knob.

Re: AC Delco radio wiring

OK, so it won't be needed with the new stereo.

Thanks.
