Do these motor mount inserts look right?

I got energy motor mount inserts from summit racing for these motor mounts that came from a c20. I put the inserts in today and I thought they would fill out the clamshell better. The gap is the same on the on each side of the insert. . They seem to have a good bit a movement. Any input is appreciated. Not to familiar with these.

If they are moving then no they can’t be right.

I just energy mounts in my 79. I thought I had wrong mounts but for the opposite reason, my mounts literally fill up the entire inside and I had to squeeze them in. But they are in and engine mounted fine

Yea before I bought them I read about the problem you are having and wasn't looked forward to that. As soon as I put them in I knew something wa diff. I'm starting to wonder if these clamshells are meant for a Big block. Not sure if they were different but that would make sense.
