10 Bolt rear end axle length

Hi guys, I have a 8.5" 10 bolt in my truck. The axles are worn where the stock bearing rides and I installed some axle saver bearings from Centric (41464000E). These are "economy" axle saver bearings. Sure as $hit they were leaking in no time. My question is do I replace them with some SKF axle savers - would it make a difference? Or do I get new axles? Can I tell what length axles I need without pulling them? (I don't have them out, the picture is from when I last had them out.) Last time I had them out I'm pretty sure they were 28 spline. I attached a pic with external dimensions.
