Aftermarket Core Support
After I wrecked my truck last year I've been collecting parts. I managed to find everything OEM except a decent core support that wasn't rusted out on the bottom.
Since I have to cut a couple of 5" holes in mine for intercooler piping, I'm not super set on getting an OEM one. I just don't want a piece of junk. Has anyone bought an aftermarket core support recently? Where did you buy it and what was your experience like? My truck is not a show truck. I just don't want something noticeably thinner than the factory one.

I assume this is for your 1970 in your sig.
I had one I used on my 70 and it fit well in 2015, maybe a bit of grinding was needed to get the fenders where I wanted but it wasn't more work than using one from another truck. I got one for my 67 this year and am very pleased, just have to approach it as it possibly needing mild modification, but it fits better than most aftermarket metal Ive used.

You should call Jason at Green's Restoration in Cameron TX and see what he has. Might have a used one and probably has a new Key Parts replacement.

I used 1" x 1" x 1/8" L angle iron and re-framed it in where it was rusted out.

I would do that, but I'd have to buy a used one and then do that because mine is quite bent. Was going less than 30mph but slid over the stripe on a corner in the rain and caught a utility trailer going the other direction square in my left headlight.
