1/3 drop for my 72
Hi Guys
Looking to do a mild drop on my daily driver. Thinking just doing new coil springs. Pros and cons? Am I missing anything? Thanks Mike |

Due to sagging springs you’ll probably not see much or any difference personally i would just put a 2 in block in the back and leave it as is

I did a 1/2 drop on my 68, the difference is subtle, to say the least.
It is lower, although it took well over a month for the rear springs to settle. before that, the rear actually sat 1/2" higher than it did with the old springs. Officially, I ended up with a 1/1 drop, and I can still haul my Harley in the bed, with no issues. |

If I go with anything other than the 1/3 drop then I need to change the track bar and shocks, am I understanding this correctly? What I am looking to do is just level the truck out some. Running 15 inch rallys on the truck. Disk in the front drums in the rear. This truck is my daily driver in the summer months here in Michigan.

Nice truck for a daily driver. I'm thinking of lowing my 69, I believe the 2 1/2" drop spindles should fix the front. Figured on going with 4" drop springs in the rear. I'm anxious to see what that will get me. I'm also going to go with the rallies like yours.

Trucks pretty clean! Have you already rebuilt the suspension? cause it doesn't look like its sagging after 50yrs. I might go with a 3/5 drop, springs only or blocks in the back. Drop spindles in the front will lower it but you'll still have the same look in the wheel well. Cut one coil off the front springs and put 2" blocks on the back, then your only out a little time and the money for blocks. Its a start.

Do a 2.5/4 with spindles up front and your rear track bar and shocks will be fine mine has that and rides great unless I hit the railroad tracks too fast
