Is this factory?

I checked out a post last week for a factory engine oil cooler and as I talked to the guy he said he had the factory aux trans cooler too. I should have got pix I guess, he said they came off a BB burb and where on the spid.

Got them today, the engine cooler is factory and complete but as I looked at the trans cooler wasn't sure because it is plate and fin and different style than the engine cooler. Plus it has rubber hose with hose clamps. I have no idea of what a 78 aux trans cooler is supposed to look like. I have it listed on my spid for my 78 Blazer.

I am in the process of getting everything back on the blazer the way it was ordered, only need a factory am/fm stereo with speakers and a electric rear window switch.

Take a look, let me know what you think. If mine is factory and if you have pix showing how it is mounted and the trans lines hooked up that would be great.

Thanks,
Steve

Re: Is this factory?

If it was factory it would have better brackets on it.

Re: Is this factory?

I am restoring my blazer, I want factory parts. I am going to flush them out. I have a friend who owns a trans shop, 60lbs of hot solvent back flushed then normal flush will take care of my problems.

The guy I bought it from says he has 2 other trucks with this set up and his spid shows a heavy duty trans cooler on it. I asked him for pix of the other trucks coolers to see how it is mounted.

The brackets and hoses and clamps are what are throwing me off. BB trucks and burbs abd a few blazers came with aux trans, oil and p/s coolers. My 78 350 blazer had the heavy duty trans cooler special ordered.

I am trying to load the blazer with every option available that year. It came fasctory pretty well loaded already.

Any pix of BB 73-86 heavyduty trans coolers

Thanks,
Steve
