you know, i saw this in an article of Truck Builder mag recently - is the hole for power brakes in a diff't position than non-power? They had to re-drill the pedal when moving to a bolt-in brake system from SSBC.

If you have a power drum setup and convert to a power disc, you have to redrill the hole in the pedal.

If you have manual brakes, I think you have to change the pedal bracket and brace on the inside.

At least that's what it's been told.

Soooo that's why there's a different/ghetto rigged brake pedal in my truck. Explains everything. Now if I could figure out the reasoning behind all the other boneheaded modifications the PO did to my truck...

The beast is looking good, a little progress is better than no progress at all.

Here is my crazy idea for a truck like that. adding a Longhorn bed, Dually rear end and cutting a set of stepside fenders for the bed flares. Then add a big block and a 5 speed. Talk about long!

When I got the Crewcab it had one of those bumpers on it. I gave it to to HOTRODMTODD when he picked up the old chassis. I bet that thing weighed a hundred pounds! I guess I could have advertised it as a 2" drop bumper,

The other bed would be cool, but time is a factor so I'm just gonig to buy a SWB and put on it. As far as the dimensions for the frame, the cab was stretched 33", so when I mated the 2 chassis I just added and extra 33" in between the centerline of the cab mounts. I think the distance between the front and rear cab mounts ended up around 75 1/2 inches total. Do you have a suprise in the works?!
