Budweiser Clydesdales

Today our Fire Dept.was asked to bring our Aerial truck, and our large American flag to an Omaha Grocery store, for a visit from the Budweiser Clydesdales.
It was really cool, I would encourage anyone who has not seen them to do it!
They come in 3 semi trucks, 10 horses, wagon, gear, crew of 7, and a dalmatian!
Here are some pics I took from the top.

You ever get a close look at their hooves!? Whatever you do, don't let one step on your foot. Flat feet is an understatement.

I think they have more than one set--I saw two of the semi's heading north on I-15 in Salt Lake City yesterday afternoon. Definitely cool horses, and truly huge!

FYI- They have around 250 Clydesdales overall. Some retired and some youngsters.

Re: Budweiser Clydesdales

Here is a video of when they came to my area a couple of years ago. The Publix grocery store near me sold more beer than any other store in the state of FL. Thats why they came

Re: Budweiser Clydesdales

Mrs. Stocker & I saw them many many years ago, somewhere in the Midwest. Big beautiful animals and obviously very well cared for! Very impressive critters, everyone should be lucky enough to see them at least once in their life. Especially the Bud drinkers.... which I was, back in the day.

I believe they said they have 3 traveling teams, and they have the largest herd of Clydesdales in the world.
Each one eats 50 lbs. of hay, 15 lbs. of custom mixed feed, and drinks 50 gallons of water per day.

Re: Budweiser Clydesdales

Too bad they aren't still an American owned company .

Anheuser-Busch Agrees to Be Sold to InBev. Anheuser-Busch agreed on Sunday night to sell itself to the Belgian brewer InBev for about $52 billion, putting control of the nation's largest beer maker and a fixture of American culture into a European rival's hands.Jul 14, 2008

I saw them up close years ago while waiting on them to enter the speedway. They were really cool.
