removing cross shafts and control arm bushings?

ok this isnt on one of my trucks but my imapala...... so its basically the same...... i got the whole suspension stripped down and need to remove the control arm bushings to put in my new energy suspesnion pieces........... anyone got advice? thanks

Removing bushings

I used a cheap propane torch, then a large screw driver and worked the pieces out. Only took mintues to get out.

You can burn them out or try using a press.I used the press at work shag but your working on a 64 right??It may be different for your IMPALA than mine.If you can take your control arms down to your local garage or machine shop they should be able to do it fairly cheap.
