Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

That's why it's called a build, hey at least your on it and it's getting better a bit at a time, or two times, still cool. Happens to us all, well me at least too.

There's always something especially when you're making great progress. At least you were able to use some of the friend cards. Usually those are always out going and not getting returned.

Are you going to install the same door in you new bed sides or is that what you did to the new bed sides?

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I had my flexible break lines made this week and started to install them. Fitting good so far. Talked to my painter today he wants my frame to line up the paint lines in about week and half. can't wait to see it painted.

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

Advanced Addapters finally sent me a return shipping label so I can return the tail housing that did not fit my transfer case. should get $200.00 back. bought a tubing bender so I can make my hard break lines. hope it works for the 3/16 lines I have to bend up.

Yes, paint! Are going to leave the body on for the rest of the build?

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I'm sure you're very excited to see color on it! Nice work on it. That is always nice to get some extra cash for parts,. There's always something else needed right around the corner.

That has to be a great feeling. All the work you have done is excellent on that truck and to finalize with some color is a accomplishment. Excited to see the new paint!

Re: 71 4X4 Frame off Restoration

I picked up my driveshafts Tuesday after work. Had to modify the cross member to fit the front shaft and started on the rear shaft. Have set up center bearing next.
