Can't call a show Street Outlaws when you pull the car off a trailer to run. Cops aren't that stupid.
I'm inclined to agree with you on this one.

I've never been to a street race where Hwy Patrol shut down the road for me.

Re: 68 5.3 ls twin turbo build

Im in for the ride! I have a few questions about your gauge cluster setup-I am using the same lmc cluster you posted about with a 2009 ly6/6l90. 1 what did you hookup to get your speedo/tach to work? I hooked up the wire labeled tach from my harness guy and I have nothing. I checked it with a test light and am not getting any feed while it is running. I assume he used the wrong pin but he won't return my calls...

2 what did you hook up to get the cluster to dim?

Thanks for the info and im looking forward to the build!

Hell yeah! With a pair of turbos, do people ever run them sequentially? Like one for low end and one for the finish. Or just dump them all in ftw

What bracket did you use for the A/C? No clear picture but it looks like the A/C is in the upper right hand corner on a stock bracket.

Sanden mini compressor. Custom bracket from Ls brackets.
Have been smoothing the firewall , and doing a larger step notch for the rear.
Once things start coming together more, I will post some pics.

Re: 68 5.3 ls twin turbo build

Long overdue build update. I ended up going back and spermmo notching the rear, and adding hills rod and custom inner fender wells. Which in return made me have to re adjust the turbo positions.
I had a buddy that wanted my 70 mm turbos which realistically for the street would be laggy. So I opted to get rid of those and purchase 2 61 mm turbos. I finally finished all of the fuel system and and mounting trans and oil coolers above the intercooler. Bought a fully built 4l80e and 3200 stall from jakes perf. The 6.0 has billet h beam rods, pistons, all balanced ported 317 heads done by our shop, custom btr cam ETC.
I hope to have it started atleast in a couple of months.

Re: 68 5.3 ls twin turbo build

i too am in Coweta, I ran my 5.3 on some twin on3 70s, it would start spooling about 4g, then I traded them out for a set of their 61mm turbos, now it spools about 3g, much better. that 6.0 should be spooling those up near the 2500 rpm range.. what exhaust ar did you get?
