Best place to buy hood and bedsides for 86

Me and my son built a 84 gmc 4x4 for his first truck. It was a pretty dang nice truck. 10 months after we got it running, a guy crossed the center line on the highway and wiped it out. Sooo, we get to build another one. We are going to try to get it done by his prom, so time is of the essence. That being said, I don't have a lot of time to spend bodyworking the bedsides on the new truck. I am seriously considering just buying new bedsides.

Are the repo bedsides worth a crap? I seem to remember hearing of a place that would give you free shipping if you ordered over $1000 worth of parts. I am also going to buy a hood so I should be right at $1k. Am I crazy, or is that true? I am in Southeast Missouri. I would be willing to drive 3 hours or so one way to pick up parts. I do not know of anywhere within driving distance that sells truck parts.

If anyone has any info that would be great.

Thanks
Lynn

I bought some repo doors from LMC that I was not impressed with. I also bought bed sides from MAR-K. These were step side panels. I was very impressed with this product.

I do not have experience with the aftermarket panels - but you could look at Classic Parts in KC - I would guess you could drive there and pickup? They sell a lot of parts for our trucks.

Thanks for the info. I will check those places.

I called LMC and talked to the "tech line" and the gal said the info they have says they are american made 16g panels. I did not think anyone in America was making these.

16g panels? That doesn't sound right unless she was talking about a stepside.
I think the fleetside is 19g, or was originally
