Interior questions

Building 72 C10 Code 510 med blue, I want the bright blue interior throughout it, steering wheel, carpet, dash, seat etc etc. I am being told if I go that route all the color will not match. Is there someone that has done this with success? If so where did you get your products? And pictures would be great if you have them.

Thanks in advance,

Re: Interior questions

Umm, not sure who's telling you this, but GM has done it with great success. My 72 is med blue and the interior is as you describe; everything is blue direct from the assembly line. GM has done it with various colors.

Re: Interior questions

I thing he's talking about new aftermarket parts & the colors not matching the original GM colors.

Re: Interior questions

Ahhh, that makes sense now. The only way you'll get everything to match is if you buy everything from the same company. Even then, I don't know if you'll get a spot on match. You'll probably have to get a combo of OEM, NOS, and aftermarket parts to make it work. Hopefully someone else can chime in with better info.

Re: Interior questions

I tried to go all blue and gave up. Instead went with black on blue. After buying the arm rests, door panels, visors, and dash pad and having 3-4 different blues I saw it would be a long difficult process to get all matching. It would be great if someone who successfully was able to find suppliers or brands that matched to provide the list. When I was trying to do it all blue lots of guys on the board here were saying that is the way it was supposed to look and they thought that added character. What I found was some of the items could be painted, some were found at specific sellers but for a lot more money if they were the correct color. I am guessing they were dying them or painting them and then reselling the items. What I found is there is a bright blue, bright metallic blue, darker blue. One guy told me he had luck at truckandcarshop.com with matching colors?
