looks like I am goin to install a 2008 5.3 in it with the drive by wire and all. If all goes well then Ill have that the first of the year

yes I think the seats are shot though.. I am goin to use the carpet and try to see if I can fab the gauges. Not sure what else i can use. any ideas

I would see if you can use anything that you would like to have on your '65. Things like the A/C, power locks, power windows, steering column, etc.

the colomn is done. I thought about the a/c. I may still try that. if the power windows work then ill use them same for the door locks. The colomn id broke but I will try to use the rest of whatever can be saved.

i got one pic of the engine running.ill get more tomarrow. I did get the seats and dash out. i plan on the engine and trans out tonight.

n/p. Today was a good day they towed the truck here removed the radiator support and turned the key. Much to my suprise it started without a lic. but it does need a alt and p/s braket. i can live with that.

looks to me like i can use the 08 a/c stuff althoug it is a little large. I still have to work that out. the dash and controls are goin to be a mess. I will prolly have to fab the whole dash so i can use the a/c and dash from the 08. I also have to contend with the fact of all the big a$$ fuse boxes and ecm's. but it is a driver so i guess its ok. I also need to find out if i can get the tire pressure monitor sys off. and the abs and the air bag sys needs to be turned off. i do think that the power windows will work thats a plus. as for the keyless entry i will have to use the 08 strikers. if i can get passed that then im set.
