Re: My Facetruck thread.

Anybody unhappy with their KFC? I am a long time diner there and our local one needs to be shut down. It is terrible. They ought to yank their franchise.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Instead of spending for all of those terrible tv commercials KFC should invest in their restaurants to draw people back in. Man, ours is looking real bad. And definitely not worth what they charge either.

I don't care for the survivor shows either. Everything is about drama these days, from wilderness survival shows to custom car shops. So many of us feel the same way about it it looks like the producers, writers would listen and produce a custom car show with more build content and less foolishness and drama crap!

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Our KFC closed 3 or 4 years ago.

A new place is going up with two brands, and I hear one of them is KFC.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.

My lovely wife and I went out and roasted marshmallows in my new out door fireplace tonight.

This thread of useless info is working pretty well I would say.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

I was going to ask you how your local KFC was as I might stop in there one day going through. Oh well.

I didn't do squat outside tonight. Don't have a fireplace.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

That's what I'm talking about.
Bonanza is another one I don't see anymore. We used to have one then Colton's moved in. Good food there for sure.
We had a Dixie Cafe until two weeks ago. The whole chain closed at once.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

They are adding drink to ours too. White county is dry but there are a few permits available for restaurants to serve it in town. The college used to buy up all those permits every year just to keep it dry here.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

No matter what, our KFC has always sucked. Every cotton pickin' time I've gone there in 30 years it's slow, food isn't warm, wrong stuff, one or all. And it seems the management has changed 5 or 6 times. I've wondered if the land it's built on has a curse. It is now a KFC Bell and that means two halfassed menus because they don't offer all the individual places offer. It's all remodeled in the latest trends to look more designer, but still tastes the same

We recently got a Popeye's and it's my choice for chicken. I prefer spicy.

I saw those when we were out there awhile back, but never ate at one.

Interesting model. Most fast food menus are designed to confuse the customer in order to get them to spend more.

I don't drink soft drinks, so I never order a "value meal" or meal deal.

When I order a sausage McMuffin and coffee it pisses me off when they sell me a large coffee I didn't order.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Our KFC is just old and needs to be knocked down and start over anew. It could never be cleaned enough to make you feel good about eating there. A guy who works for me went there to get a box of gizzards and swears there was a small feather at the bottom of the box. He won't eat there again. I said but they don't process chicken there. He said I don't care, there was a feather in the box!
I don't mean to be picking on them but I am disappointed in how one of the great names in restaurants has gone down hill.
I believe KFC, Taco Bell are owned by Pepsico or used to be.

Re: My Facetruck thread.

Oh yeah. Menu overloads. Too many choices sometimes. And every now and then they change up the menu like your old favorite #7 is now #11 or 13. You stand there trying to find your old usual choice while the cashier gets impatient waiting on you to make up your mind. The guy somewhere behind you in line is thinking "somebody nudge the old guy and see if he fell asleep up there will ya".
