Windshield Frame Repair

Ok so Im looking at the rust under the weatherstripping on the windshield of my 65 and wondering just how big of a job it would be??

First, yes I've used the search function... seems like everything is for blazers, and secondly its always nice to get new fresh views.

Anyone done a full replacement of the windshield frame?

Re: Windshield Frame Repair

the windshield frame.....if rotted at top, then you need to repair roof skin and baseball cap.

if at the bottom, likely posts are gone too.

you need to remove the windshield to know what you need.

I just did the skin and baseball part.

I need to replace my top also, where did you find the panel? I've searched and can't find anything for the roof.

Re: Windshield Frame Repair

I would like to see a "how to" if anybody does one. I definitely overpaid for my truck because i wanted one that had a good roof. I did a poor attempt once on the skin replacement and have been Leary to tear into another roof. I can do floors, rockers and make panels, but I am horrible at roof replacements.
