Re: Stacey Davids Trucks-Copperhead test drive

I thought it is interesting that he doesn't wear a seatbelt on any of the interior video.

My inspiration for wanting to build one of these trucks. That and having something other than a car to take to Hot August Nights

Re: Stacey Davids Trucks-Copperhead test drive

Did you guys notice the price of gas when he pulled out? The truck is really nice, I just dont believe a major rag out session is in order when the project is finished. Kinda showed how much of that stuff was paid for outta his pocket! Anybody here ever finished your project and went out and did doughnuts an burn outs when you were finished?

I like the gas prices in the last video when he filled up. Oh yeah, and the truck was okay too!

The first thing I did in my '72 Vega with a '93 LT1/T56 after the motor was broken in was stand on it and fry the tires. Personally, vehicles are meant to be driven. If you want to ***** foot around, build a vehicle that can't handle it...like a Honda.

Fourth gear rubber FTW!

Re: Stacey Davids Trucks-Copperhead test drive

As nice as your car probably is I was refering to building a frame off, NOS body paneled, no stone unturned, custom painted, full tilt hot rod and then doing donuts in it. Just doesnt make sense to me.

Re: Stacey Davids Trucks-Copperhead test drive

I loved that build. Thanks for posting the links.

His new show gearz is basically the same but he has control over the outcome of the vehciles when they are completed.

Some of the previous show projects were crushed by Chevy for liability reasons rather than selling them. That really made me sad when I heard the LT1 powered S10 they built and the big Chevy with the tracks got crushed.

Yes. Yes I did. And I still smile when I think about it. And I did a little tail wagging today as a matter of fact. And when I finish the exhaust and do a better tune on it with the O2 sensor and closed loop installed, I will do it again. And smile some more.

When I got the engine I had just rebuilt, installed and running in my Jimmy last winter, I smoked the tires right after the cam break in was done.

To each his own.
