Re: Question on 50th production numbers..

Some 1968 trucks were promoted in the "Golden Anniversary Sale", a celebration for building trucks for 50 years. These were just specially equipped packaged trucks a lower price than buying the options seperately. The only difference between this promotion than the other promotions was it came in only one color. These packages typically came out at mid to end of model year to spur sales. In 67, there was a "Pacesetter Special", in 72, there was the "Highlander" and in the mid 70's there was the "Bonanza". All special promotion trucks would be built in smaller numbers.

Re: Question on 50th production numbers..

That looks like something I would do. Totally disassemble a truck knowing I was moving in a month. Gotta love it. Plus, there is no better inspiration than knowing you have to put it together or part it out. Good luck and cant wait to see more pics.

No, not yet. I just cleaned it up and put some new gear oil in. I have a 3.07 posi in Pensacola that I may eventually put in it. I have to work this weekend, so the only thing I've got done so far was to install the swaybar I got from JAKE97.

With the poly bushing it's pretty tight, but I think it will be alright. I've been wanting to try that for some time now, so I figured I might as well on this truck. Plus, I saved $30 by not buying the shorter mounts, .

So how would you grease these??...did you move the grease zirk and change the fitting?...I think it's a great idea!
