Picked up a Dana 70HD Rearend

My buddy had this laying around and so I picked it up for FREE!! Yes, I said FREE! It has a limited slip diff and 4.10 gears. I need to put new spring purches on it and I want to install DIY4x disc brake setup. Can anyone tell me what the air hose attachment is for? Air Locker?

Yes, attach a hose to the fitting and mount it up high on the frame rail. It has to be vented or the heat would pressurize the housing and force lube out through at least one of the seals. It should be up high to avoid becoming an inlet for water.
