1968 Dana 44 lockout hub?

My question is i am looking at replacing my 1968 k20 closed knuckle axle with a 74 k20 dana 44 open knuckle with full time hubs. would my warn lockout on the closed knuckle be able to swap over?

Ah, near Newark? No one knows where that is either

It is kind of funny that there are two of you from such a small town on here.

Your 68 closed knuckled HD 44 front axle will be of the EXTERNAL HUB design, and your 74 K20 front axle should except these hubs with no problems at all.

GM used the Heavy Duty Dana 44 front axle from the 1960's till early 1977. ALL used the external bolt on hubs, or drive flanges.

To be safe, post a pic of the 68 and 74 hubs, just to make sure somebody hasnt swapped out either axle and replaced it with something other than what came from the factory when either truck was brand new.
