front driveshaft binding
okay so my front driveshaft is just a hair to overflexed and when i hammer the gas it binds bad at the double cardan. it makes contact at the spots shown on the pic where the arrows are. sitting level you can see it is very close and there is wear on these spots where its hitting. now my question is can i go at these with an angle grinder to get more flex out of the driveshaft? or will i be shooting myself in the foot heading to more damage if i do that? i know i should buy a new driveshaft but they are so expensive i do not have the money for that now so any info on my idea would be awesome! thank you!

Re: front driveshaft binding
In a word ...yes. But, you have to be careful about it.
You can smooth off the squarish looking contact points to keep it from binding as it is now, but don't expect to gain any more droop in the suspension. In fact, it would be best to make some kind of limit strap to keep it from over extending, at least on the passenger's side. The amount of power you put to it also has some bearing on it's life.
