67 "burb" upgrade??

I want to upgrade my suburban to make it more of a daily driver,as every one else does.I recently purchased a 91 burband I am curious, would it be easier to swap the suspension only,or not too bad to change the whole frame with all the later model susp. Right now it rides like it is a 2 ton truck and doesnt stop or steer as well as a 2 ton truck...lol.Im just disappointed Im not driving it more. : (

Re: 67 "burb" upgrade??

it looks like your burb is a 4wd. if the donor truck was 2wd, i'd do the swap in a heartbeat 'cause i am a 2wd only kinda guy. if they are both 4wd, swap the entire front and rear running gear and drivetrain. easier to tweak the chassis parts to fit that adapt the newer frame which doesn't fit the 67-72 body style. you could also beef up the rear spring packs by using extra leaves from whichever set you didn't use. 4x4's especially seem to sit very nose high!
