Do you use lowering spindles with the Porterbuilt front dropmember?

I've been looking at and investigating the Porterbuilt Dropmember system. I almost have all the dough I need to order the full front setup. My question though is, is it suggested to use lowering spindles with this. My plan is to set my '85 2500 rocker panels to the ground on 22x8.5's on the front and 24x10's on the rear.

Thanks
G

If you plan on laying rocker, you'll want to use drop spindles as part of the package.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I don't think that you can get to rocker using a drop member alone. It will get you to frame but you will either need to Z the front or drop the body

I am in progress of modifying the frame under the cab area to get body to asphalt.

can i make a suggestion? lay pinch... not rocker. your rockers are not as strong as the pinch. every square ive seen that lays rocker is beat up because they lay on sheet metal. A small rock, uneven pavement, cruising the street too low all those can mess up your body. but the pinch is actually a structure support that prevents all of that. plus, its a definitive line that boldly shows off how low the truck is when laid out. another thing is when you remove the pinch you actually allow the truck to follow the body line when aired out. which makes your truck look like the front is sitting higher than the rear. (ugly IMO) but, when you leave the pinch the truck lays out only on the pinch to the front of the bed. keeping the truck level.

hope what im trying to say makes sense.

here is a picture of one of my old trucks that i went to pinch on

and here is one that lays rocker. notice how the bed sags
(also, this truck is still badass... im just relaying my personal view)

Re: Do you use lowering spindles with the Porterbuilt front dropmember?

I should rephrase what I'm saying; I am looking to lay pinch. I do like the look of laying out to pinch weld rather than straight rocker.

I dig your old truck. I while back I say a YouTube vid of it and I've followed some thread on here that I believe you got started.
