couple of progress pics....

The 67/68/72 is coming along.
Got the rearend out and took it to the shop to have it rebuilt with posi, 3.73's, new axles, etc.
Trailing arms are at my buddy's shop getting the ECE stiffening braces welded on.
Slid the bed up to the front so I can EZ-OFF, wash the rear of the frame then paint with POR-15 and ChassisBlack - will do this weekend if it doesn't rain.
I've got the 4/6 ECE drop kit sitting in the garage ready to go in as soon as the rearend's ready - a couple of weeks?
I'll get the rear done first then move the bed back and clean/paint,rebuild/drop the front end.
The 454's sitting in the garage just waiting

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

The Sprints are in storage waiting for full factory correct restorations. I needed a toy to build, so I picked up the 68 CST longbed (great cab and front clip), the 72 shorty chassis, and the 67 stepside bed. Now I've got something I can work on and not have to worry about it being "factory correct".
Just going to build a nice Saturday night cruiser. Trying to keep it cheap, but you know how it goes....

Could you tell me what the heights (free state) are on the 4/6 springs you have in your new kit? Is the kit for the bb motor? Wondering if the sizes are anything close to stock springs from another application. Thanks
