Firewall question for LS swap guy

Hey gents. I am about to start the cab body work on my 69. I plan on shaving the firewall and would like to know if there is anything in particular I should be doing. Currently the frame is PB Extreme dropmember and I still have a perfectly good running 350/350 setup. I just want to do the mods for the LS swap just in case my engine craps out on me. Not really wanting to do body work twice if I don't have to.

Also I would like to see if anyone knows of a good fuel cell that is set up for carb with the efi option. I like this one but don't know if it'll support what I'm trying to do.

Thanks in advance for you help

Several years ago there was a build thread on this board by EricD entitled "Silver Bullet". That was a 67 stepside with an LS motor. Very nice thread and lots of pictures. Use the search engine at the top of the page after clicking om the 67-72trucks.com radio button and entering "silver bullet" in the search box..

There is the LS/LSx motor forum on here as well.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
