Squarebody suspension Donors

Are Square body 1/2 ton suburbans good suspension donors for 60-66 pickups?
Any differences in the front end? is the rear end the same width as the pickup, any body used a burb as a donor?

Re: Squarebody suspension Donors

The only thing I look for when picking a donor is the 1 1/4" rotors. That makes it compatible with most drop spindles and you can get 6 lug rotors. Rears I look for 12 bolts with 3:42 (just my preference) or 3:73 gears. I just use the gears and carriers. I also look for K10's with 12 bolts and see if they have the bigger brakes on em. I use the backing plates, hardware and drums for bolt on big brake swaps on the 6 lug rears.

Re: Squarebody suspension Donors

Square body 1/2 ton Suburbans (and I believe blazers also) should be 6 lug. For 5 lug stuff, look at 1/2 ton pickups.

Re: Squarebody suspension Donors

The 2 WD burbs were not 6 lug. Just the K series trucks and Blazers.
