Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

I dont think the huge 18" and taller wheels look right or look good on anything older than say 2000 or so.....I love the white spoked and chrome spoked wagon wheels and if a wheel company would come back out with the old turbine wheels, they wouldnt be able to keep up!! I know i would be one of the first on the list for those!

In the third picture (white 81-87 chevy), what size lift and size tires do you have on there?

I was too busy just skimming through looking at pictures and not reading the posts; I see you said 33in with a 4 inch lift (Looks like I need to pay more attention). They look like BF Goodrich AT KO. Are they 33/12.50/R15 or 33/10.50/R15? And would you recomend that setup. I have a 86 and ive already purchased a 4" BDS lift with fox racing shox and all the goodies. But i cant decide wether i should go with 35s or 33s. Im leaning more towards 33s because smaller tire= better mpg and people say the ride gets worse the bigger the tire. You have obviously had this setup so im curious on what you think.

I noticed that there are some 16.5 8 lug turbines listed on CL in the Portland, OR area. http://portland.craigslist.org/clk/pts/4351824760.html

Re: Modern wheels - Classic 4x4

My build was an all black theme, So I choose these wheels from Gear. The difficulty of our trucks is finding modern rims that fit our front hubs properly. Their 17", 33" tires and a strong 4" lift.

Good Luck
