Post block huggers

would block hugger headers be a good choice of headers?

Probably not. Depending on where your engine is mounted, the crossmember may be in the way. The exception is the Sanderson CC3 headers, which angle back a little. Check this out: www.sandersonheaders.com/pagesbypartnum/cc3.htm

If you get good full lenght, you won't have any problems.
I got lucky and found Hooker Super Comps installed in my GMC when i bought it. They will end up in the Longhorn, then in what ever truck may replace that one.
They are that awsome. Only one plug is hard to remove, the flanges are thick, the collectors are thick, the exit angle is perpindicular to the chassis. Fit and finish is great.
