Can someone tell me what color this is?

This is my friends truck who recently passed away. Needs paint work after a collision but don't know the color. It's a 74' GMC with Chevy badges and I've been told it's an original color. He owned it since the late 70s and has been resprayed 3 or 4 times since then.

Thank you in advanced

Check these out.

The Rallye Green Metallic in the third link looks pretty close. That's how it appears on computer.

Re: Can someone tell me what color this is?

What does the SPID in the glove box show?

2nd the Rallye Green Metallic with consideration for Bright Green Metallic depending on how the camera saw it and the computer translated it on my screen. Color matching between reality, cameras, computer screens and printers is a mix of science, art and voodoo.

Nice looking truck.

Re: Can someone tell me what color this is?

My guess was Killarney green. The glove box is not original to the truck so we are trying to find the original one. Thanks for the responses

If that bench seat is the original, you might find a build sheet under the seat. Sometimes between the springs and foam. Don't know if it would have "as painted at the factory" info but might be worth a look.

I think you can take the VIN and contact the GM Heritage organization and get a duplicate SPID.

I know it is supposed to be an original color. If It is not original, It looks line Honda Del-Sol Green. (I know a lot of people painted their cars/trucks that color in the 90's).

Here's the link for the Heritage Center; https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/gm-...tion-kits.html

But I would doubt the build sheet is under the seat. I have quite a collection of seats and I haven't found a build sheet yet. Lots of other "stuff", but no build sheets.

That bed is not a 74. With a square gas door, it likely is 78 or newer. up to 77 they was no door just a round cap exposed. What's the vin# ?

Re: Can someone tell me what color this is?

I can post the vin when I get home. The bed was replaced with the later model about 20 years ago when it stopped being a full time work truck. I'm really thinking the Killarney Green is it now. It used to be green/white.

Not for a '74. They have '76 and later. (and - not a SPID. You get the vehicle invoice, with RPO content and pricing).

Unless: the truck was built in Canada. GM of Canada has the build information for all years.
