Re: Big ? Clears
5 Star Euro Clear! (5180 Xtreme)
It's super easy to spray, very high gloss and is high solids 2:1 mix ratio. Easy to buff, great depth of image. Can't say enough about it! If you go with a popular paint branded clear, you will pay TOP dollar for the top shelf clear or they will sell you their econo line clear... Don't buy it! They aren't any good compared to generic clear! The reason is the technology in clear is easy and cheap so alternative brands want the business and can make a high quality clear and undercut the main brands price and beat the quality of their 2nd tier cheap clears.

Re: Big ? Clears
Universal clear for restorations/show. Euro for daily driver. Read up on the SPI forum, there is a lot of info.

Why? The above recommendations are some of the best you can get.

Re: Big ? Clears
I use PPG DCU2021 awesome clear, and excellent shine. I have used the OMNI, but i had an issue with it not holding up on a fender. Maybe i applied it wrong, but it did not last/hold up very well. I did the other fender with the same Omni base, and DCU2021, and it held up very well.

Re: Big ? Clears
check out spi forums. you wont get a better clear at a better price. I have used their universal clear , it stays soft so you can buff it eaisily months later. however their euro 2020 is very user friendly and less expensive. they also have a SUPURB epoxy primer at a very affordable price.
