Castrol Super clean is your friend, the purple stuff. fill up a tupperware tub and let it soak, rinse off with cold water. usually soak a couple days for a easier strip and for tougher paint, good 'ol DOT 3. same process as the purple, and rinse it with cold water too a lot depends on how the paint was applied, and what kind. some tougher paints (marine) i have soaked parts for a week and still have to scrub the old stuff off. the castrol also strips chrome off any model part in about 15 mins if you dont like flash on your models. |
