This may be a dump question, but...

How do I go about selling an antique truck? I've had this 58 Apache for about 10 years now, but it's been in the family since '59. I have no idea what it's worth and would hate being taken advantage of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey welcome from Pittsburgh. You'll have to do research such as what others are listed at and what they actually sell for. Condition of the vehicle is a big factor, also what options it has. Such as engine, tranny, big back window, long or short bed ECT...

You could spend the $25 to become a supporting board member and it will allow you to ask WIW questions. Take a lot of pictures inside, outside under and engine views.

Get a copy of Old Cars Price Guide and be honest on the real condition of the truck. For instance, most vehicles you see at local car shows are in #3 condition.

Check out on-line price eval tools like KBB, Hagarty, etc.

Re: This may be a dump question, but...

Hey guys, thanks for the replied. Good to see others from Pittsburgh...

Getting an appraisal is a good idea. I'll have to look around for someone who can do that for me. Where should I look, other than ebay, where similar vehicles are for sale? I did see some on this site (and similar ones), but the prices are all over the place.

I guess a good place would be car cruises, but I'm not much into those. I spend most of my free time on 2 wheels.

Thanks
