I guess I'm gettin old, I want my truck in one color, I want it quieter, I don't need big 'ole speakers, and I'm too lazy to keep my foot on the gas.

Do the newer universal cruise kits not work? The ones with the magnets you put on the drive shaft? Am I crazy? I know that most places around here that instal car alarms/ stereos/ other junk, also instal cruise control for under $120. Will these "universal" kits work, even if they are set up for a carborated engine?

I don't see why a universial kit wouldn't work.
Mine has it from the factory, so i want it to work. I guess I'm just getting too lazy to hold down the hammer.
