New Project: El Burban or Submino

Like the title says --- starting a new long term project --- need some opinions on name. Gonna take one of my "extra" Suburbs and modify into a pickup/el camino version.
See pics below of the patient --- it is a pretty solid '65 Chevy with clam shell rear. After metal mods it's gonna go on Lucifer's old chassis with LS6 ---- I may swap the LS6 and LT1 from my '66 Chevy Suburb chassis --- Decisions decisions.
This project will probably require some thinning of Suburb fleet to finance body mods

Looks like a cool project. Let me know when you decide to thin the fleet, as a burb is the next thing to get added to mine. Here is a thread in the truck section on the C10's built in Argentina. Cool looking trucks along the lines you are planning. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=681926

If its in decent shape, why chop it up? My 2 cents worth says sell it to someone who wants a sub and use one that is beyond restoration.

I have had the El Camino version in mind for a long time s a project, I like the oddity of having one --- Aztec Bronze and Tan. All my other Burbs (5) are in as good or better shape and I didn't pay a lot for this one ---- actually bought it right after I got my '66 Burban that is being done frame off --- just for rear bumper, brackets and rear frame horns as my 66 had a rolled pan on the rear.
Also don't want to be doing a lot of rust repair ---- been there done that!!

Getting parts together --- got my rusty (lower half) big back window cab now and starting to look at how to cut. Thinking I will have a complete Suburban roof in good shape to sell before too long --- should help offset cost of fab work.
