Info on flat or satin paints

Has anyone here used flat or satin paint? I understand that when you paint it you can't go back and fix flaws. The bigger question for me is care and maintenance. How do you keep bird and bug splatter from ruining your paint job. I'm building a daily driver and don't want spend all my time gently soaking debris off.

Re: Info on flat or satin paints

It's still somewhat fragile but there is no way I would think about a satin finish other than a BC/CC job using satin clear.

You still can't buff out a scratch and that sort of thing but over all it's a 1000 times better than a SS satin when it comes to durability.
