My new truck...1965 GMC 930

Thanks for the add. Picked up a 65 gmc930 for peanuts. Has a solid body and frame. Not sure what direction Im going wiyh it but it will be fun and Ill be sure to post some pics. It just got towed to my house so Ill take some pics of the 80s ers 350 engine and 3 gas tanks

Thanks for the welcome. Im in Vancouver BC and its beens raining nonstop since Ive had it but almost have the box off. Gonna keep the deck with some nice rails. Make it look like and old speedshop truck I think...well see. Has some rust in the bottom of the fenders and rocker panels but seems relatively solid for the price. Pics to come....

I have the exact same hyrdaulic brake lock in my 65.

How does it work...the brakes are soft but it doesnt seem to do a whole lot right now....

I left it in the dash, but disconnected it. It works this way (when connected): stop, step on brakes, hold, flip up lever, it locks the brakes on until lever moved down. My truck had this installed and ALL the parking brake stuff removed. Even the levers in the drums. It was a pain to get it all working again.
