Squarebody AC control, is it backlit?

Not sure if I have a stock or aftermarket AC control but it's not backlit at night with the lights on. Are these supposed to be backlit? I assume so as I can't see anything, but I'd rather ask here first before pulling the dash out to check the wiring or bulbs.

1984 C10 Silverado

Thanks in advance.

Re: Squarebody AC control, is it backlit?

My 75 control's are back lit. Some of them are back lit via a fiber optic cable ran from the gauge cluster. If a bulb is out in the cluster, replace it first. The cluster bulbs are a simple twist to remove fixture but does require a bit of contortion ability to get your hands back there.

That's excellent advice! Is there a better bulb to replace them with? My dash is pretty dim. Thanks for the help!
